A worried Cuban mother went to social networks to request help locating her son, who undertook the dangerous journey to the United States and disappeared while crossing Mexico.
According to the video, shared by journalist Mario J. Pentón, the young man responds to the name of Rubiel Roberto M., who was in Mexico City waiting to receive approval for his appointment at CBP One.
The young man, 20 years old, wanted to present his case to the authorities at the border to be able to reunite with his family, who resides in the United States.
The woman points out that the situation is extremely worrying for her, because, while the young man is of legal age, he has the mentality of a five-year-old child due to mental problems.
In that sense, he indicated that he was under the care of his brother, but took advantage of a moment of distraction to escape his brother’s sight.
As if that were not enough, when his brother went to the authorities to report his disappearance, they ended up arresting him, since he could not verify his legal status in the Aztec country.
“My child does not have any documents on him. He left the house, left and left all his documentation, only with the clothes she was wearing, without a penny. He’s been on the street for three days, I don’t know what he’s eating, where he’s sleeping, please, I’m devastated, desperate. I don’t know what to do, I don’t know who to turn to. Please, if anyone sees this video, please, I need you to call,” the woman said with a broken voice.
The woman has tried to contact the Mexican police, but they have not given her the answers she needs. This, and the fact that the woman cannot travel to Aztec territory, has made the woman feel helpless in the face of situation.
Because she cannot do more at the moment, the woman limited herself to asking for help from the Cuban community in Mexico, asking anyone who has seen Rubiel or has information about her whereabouts to contact her at the numbers 786-623-1534 or 305-786-8883.
“Please, I don’t know what to do anymore, I’m helpless. I don’t know where my child is, I don’t know what is happening, if something has happened to him. Please I need help. Please, if anyone knows anything about his whereabouts, if anyone sees him, if you find out anything, please don’t stop calling,” the woman’s request concluded.
