The Prosecutor’s Office of the Provincial Court of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has requested the penalty of requesting 20 years in prison for a man accused of murdering his ex-partner. The events occurred on July 16, 2020 when the defendant, who was under a restraining order for his ex-partner, went to her home located in the municipality of Santa Úrsula where he murdered her by strangling her, and later hid the body in the grave septic that existed in the garage of the house. The case was complicated for the Judicial Police but a complaint from a friend of the victim put the investigators on the trail who five days later, on July 20, found the woman’s body in the spetica grave. In the classification of the Public Prosecutor’s Office to which the SER has had access, it considers the accused as the author of a crime of murder with the aggravating circumstance of kinship and of a crime of breach of sentence, for which the penalty of 20 years and nine months is requested. imprisonment, compensation of 200,000 euros for civil liability and 10 years of supervised release in addition to the prohibition of approaching the victim’s daughter during that time.
