The Puebla Prosecutor’s Office stopped Óscar N, alias “El Loco Téllez”, who was one of the main targets of detention for being involved in fuel theft of the Pemex pipelines, kidnapping, assaults, extortion, homicides and drug dealing, among other crimes.
The agency reported that, in collaboration with the authorities of Tlaxcala, the State Investigation Agency managed to locate and capture the alleged offender on streets in the downtown area of Apizaco.
Óscar “N” was wanted from the beginning of this administration for being the leader of one of the main gangs dedicated to Huachicol in San Martín Texmelucan and that operated both in Puebla and in neighboring states.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office, the criminal structure of “El Loco Téllez” was already weakened by the arrest of people who were part of his closest protection circle, including escorts and their main drug distributors, which significantly reduced the capacity of operation of this group.
In the face of persecution by authorities, Óscar “N” transferred his operations from San Martín Texmelucan to the Sierra Norte region, where he committed the transfer of stolen fuel and participated in the theft of cargo and automobile transport, as well as distribution of drugs (mainly cocaine and crystal), activities that led to the killings of members of rival gangs.
“Initially, the arrest of Óscar N. obeys a judicial order for the crime of attempted murder,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.
The alleged criminal leader was taken to the facilities of the agency and later transferred to the Tepexi de Rodríguez Social Reintegration Center, with the support of the Puebla Ministry of Public Security and the Secretary of National Defense.
