For his probable participation in the murder of notary public Luis Miranda Cardoso in the capital of Mexico, Edgar Alejandro “N” was arrested by Investigative Police (PDI) of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Mexico (FGJEM).
The elements of the State Prosecutor’s Office completed an arrest warrant for the crime of qualified homicide against Edgar Alejandro “N”, who investigated for his probable participation in the murder of Miranda Cardoso, whose body was located on August 11, inside a building in the Sector Popular neighborhood, in Toluca.
- Edgar Alejandro “N” is at the disposal of the Judicial Authority in the Tenango Prison, where your legal situation will be determined.
What happened to Miranda Cardoso?
On August 11, the victim’s body was located in a building in the Sector Popular neighborhood., also known as Colonia Sánchez, for which ministerial and expert personnel of the state company initiated the respective proceedings to identify and locate the likely participants in these events.
- The motive for this crime, which has been strengthened up to this point in the investigation, is house robbery.
Second implicated in the death of Miranda Cardoso
This is the second person to stop the FGJEM for the murder of the Mexican notary. The participation of this subject apparently was to drive a white Jetta-type vehicle, in which the items stolen from the victim’s house would be transported and would facilitate the escape of other probable participants in this crime. It should be noted that this car was located by elements of the PDI and is under the protection of this Institution.
Thanks to monitoring and analysis of the surveillance cameras of the C5 of the State of Mexico, and with the support of the staff of the State Security Secretariat (SS), it was possible identify the route this vehicle followed, which was captured in the same place where a van belonging to the victim was found, which was stolen from the property where the body was located.
- It should be noted that Edgar Alejandro “N” was found part of what was stolen from the property owned by Miranda Cardoso.
The FGJEM continues the investigation into this homicide, in order to identify, locate and detain more likely participants in it.
