Detectives from the Chillán Sexual Crimes Investigation Brigade (Brisex) detained an older adult who had a pending arrest warrant, issued by the Guarantee Court of this city for the crime of sexual abuse, committed against an 8-year-old girl. years.
The head of the Brisex Chillán, sub-prefect Iván Velásquez, commented that “the defendant is a 73-year-old man, who was required by the court, for which the detectives began an exhaustive search, accessing open and closed sources, auscultations and traceability of the information, in addition to registration, since the man was a fugitive upon learning of his request for several months, evading police action, making constant changes of address.
Thanks to the work of criminal analysis and police intelligence, the detectives located and detained him, making him available to the Chillán Guarantee Court. “It should be noted that this order is due to a judicial process for a crime that the detectives of this specialized brigade have investigated, since the victim corresponds to a girl who suffered a sexual assault when she was 8 years old, while the accused corresponds to a a man who already has a police record for the same crime,” said Deputy Prefect Velásquez.
