A man was captured yesterday, Wednesday, February 14, after he was reported to the PNC by the owner of a brewery in Sonsonate, where he arrived to demand extortion on behalf of the Mara Salvatrucha.
The gang member was identified as Walter Alexis Salazar Calles, alias Rata, MS13 terrorist. Police reported that the man arrived at the bar and ordered a beer and when he received it, he told the owner that he was going to return the rent to businesses in the area and tried to intimidate her by saying that he had killed several people. .
The owners of the place told him that they would not give him money and that they were going to report him, as actually happened. “The subject began to shout that he had already killed several people, he threatened them, saying that he was representing the MS13 and that he was going to impose rent again,” the PNC said.
Salazar Calles was immediately captured in the El Ángel neighborhood of Sonsonate.
The police warned that these types of terrorists will be captured and sent to CECOT.
The gang member will be prosecuted for aggravated extortion, threats and illicit groups.
