They arrest a sailor accused of sharing intimate photos of his ex-partner

Authorities in Mexico City arrested a member of the Navy this Wednesday, for allegedly sharing intimate photographs of his ex-partner without his consent.

Through a release, the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX) reported that the public official was apprehended by elements of the Investigation Police in the Ampliación Caracol neighborhood, Venustiano Carranza mayor’s office, for the crime of the probable commission of the crime against privacy sexual.

The element of the Secretary of the Navy, in the rank of corporal, was denounced in August 2020 by his ex-partner, who accused him of sharing his photographs in a group of friends and family, to whom he would have said that the victim was an escort.

According to the victim, José “N” did this in response to the fact that the day before she denounced him for family violence and refused to resume their romantic relationship.

After being notified of the court order against him, the man was admitted to the East Men’s Preventive Prison, where he was placed at the disposal of a control judge.

On April 2, the FGJCDMX announced that it made the first arrest in compliance with the Olimpia Law, which establishes sanctions against digital harassment, threats and insults, as well as the dissemination of sexual content without knowledge.

The detainee was wanted by the authorities of Mexico City after the complaint of a young woman who was tricked into obtaining photographs of her and then extorted.
