They arrest a man in Pilar with alleged rustling beef – Police

The incident occurred on Tuesday morning after the uniformed officers checked the interior of a car in which they found 105 kilos of beef.

In the procedure, a 39-year-old subject was arrested, whose identity was not released by the Police; although it was reported that he lives in the San José de Pilar neighborhood.

This man was driving a Mistral-type Nissan van, with BBE 416 plate. According to the police report, he could not justify the origin of the meat.

The agents learned of it thanks to a phone call from a person named Javier Dos Santos who reported that a clandestine slaughter had possibly occurred in a cattle ranch called “Montuoso”, located at kilometer 5 of the old route of the fourth route.

Once the complaint was received, the Police intervened, who were able to find the vehicle on Natalicio Talavera street, almost a Paraguayan Soldier from the San José neighborhood. According to the report, upon seeing the agents, the man tried to escape.

The case was left to prosecutor Federico Solano López, who ordered that the vehicle and the meat be deposited at the Ñeembucú Police Department, the same place where the alleged perpetrator was imprisoned.
