The National Civil Police (PNC) captured a homeboy who was dedicated to extorting vendors to finance his gang.

This is the gang member José Manuel Soto, alias Smiley, profiled as a 18R homeboy, who was hiding from justice in Colón, in the department of La Libertad.

According to PNC investigations, this gang member used to threaten the salespeople of Campos Verdes with death, thus extorting them.

The police authorities indicated that the homeboy must face justice, for which he will be prosecuted for the crime of illicit groups. Therefore, he “will not return to the streets to cause more harm to the population.”
