The arrest took place in a shopping plaza located at the intersection of 58th Street and 107th Avenue in the city of Doral. The authorities found all the thieves at the scene, who had just carried out a robbery at a nearby residence.

Due to the magnitude of the events, as well as the number of victims who suffered robberies in this area, it is believed that there may be many more people involved.

According to the local media, the thieves operated hooded, using advanced technology to block police communications in the area. This is what led authorities to organize an operation in which several undercover detectives worked to track and detect the thieves.

During the operation, the police discovered that the thieves divided themselves into different roles to carry out the robbery. Some of them were dedicated to carrying out surveillance from an electric scooter and a nearby gas station, while a driver waited outside the place ready to escape. Likewise, three of them had the task of entering the house.

According to Edwin López, chief of the Doral Police, the thieves’ robbery was foiled after one of the residents of the home returned, causing the group to escape. The police took this opportunity to intercept and arrest them.

The official explained that the criminals were professionals who traveled in rental cars from New York to Florida, carefully selecting their targets and sometimes studying them for several weeks.

Now, those arrested face several serious charges, including grand theft and resisting authority.
