In order to continue with the programs and activities for the well-being of women in Monclova and the central region, the Council of Instance for Women was officially installed, made up of public servants from the current Monclova City Council.
This Council is made up of Lic. Pamela Garanzuay de Paredes, as its president, Ms. Silvia Villarreal, technical secretary, Lic. María Aurora Barrios Gutiérrez, councilor with a portfolio of human rights, Mrs. Felicitas Herrera Aguilera, councilor of citizen assistance, Mr. Pedro Magaña Huitrón, alderman for public security, Lic. Fernando Olivas Jurado, Director of Public Security of Monclova, MDC Sonia María González and Lic. Ovidio Cuellar.
The Council will continue to engage in outreach activities with women who have some type of violence problem, advising and supporting them on how to solve their legal situations, all this through all legal and social instances that may be necessary.
In addition to promoting and supporting women to have access to programs such as open high school and learning activities of a trade with which they can support themselves and obtain profits within their family and social nucleus.
In addition, they will also continue to support each other in health issues, since support will continue to be sought in programs such as breast and cervical cancer detection, offering more facilities in tests and medicine in case of contracting these diseases.
The Council will continue meeting seeking the well-being of the hundreds of women who have approached these institutions in search of solving their problems, giving quick results and for the benefit of women and their families.
