Police are looking for suspected thieves linked to the robbery of a jewelry store located in midtown Manhattan earlier yesterday.
The suspects were recorded by surveillance cameras.
The robbery took place at Cellini Jewelers on Park Avenue near 56th Street.
Police say a group broke the glass doors at the store’s entrance with a sledgehammer, then smashed three shop windows, escaping with at least $ 500,000 worth of jewelry.
Individuals fled east on 56th Street in a gray sedan.
According to the latest police crime statistics, as of October 9, burglaries have increased by 3% and large thefts by 41.5% compared to the same period last year.
