Paid parking will be introduced on five more streets in Plovdiv after the city council voted to amend the ordinance on the organization of traffic on the territory of the municipality. The draft is posted on the site for public discussion.
The blue zone includes “Svoboda” Blvd. in the section between “Perushtitsa” and “Tsarevets” streets around the shopping centers “Plovdiv”, “Gen. Danail Nikolaev”, “Lady Strangford”, “P. Yavorov” and “Yanko Sakazov “. Over 100 streets are already included in the list of paid parking at two BGN per hour. The blue zone covers the city center and part – “North”, and now also part of Svoboda Blvd., which falls under the “West” district.
The new Ordinance safeguards the rules for parking for disabled people, and the phrase “persons with disabilities” is written explicitly. They can stay in places marked with the “D21” sign for up to three hours, after which they have to pay a fee.
During the Christmas holidays, parking in the blue zone will be free for five whole days, reminds the Municipality of Plovdiv.
