Christian Ritondodeputy of Together for Change and candidate for governor of Buenos Aires, stated that the kirchnerism it is feeling the end of the cycle and that there are clear chances that the opposition will regain power in 2023, both in the province of Buenos Aires and at the national level. In this framework, Ritondo called on undecided voters to end populism at the polls.
«Kirchnerism is a story and they are feeling the end of the cycle and the people will give it to them. This perverse logic of taking Argentines to a government internship while Argentina is going through 100% inflation, 50% poverty… they argue among themselves looking at each other’s navels. There are more poor children in the country and more destitute and this means harming later generations,” Ritondo said on Radio Rivadavia.
“I believe that to win an election you have to take care of the polls, we have to have all the prosecutors seated at each of the tables in the province of Buenos Aires as an important measure to end populism. The one who wins in JvC drives and the one who loses accompanies,” said the former Buenos Aires Security Minister.
«The Government of Axel Kicillof in the province has not done anything in education, health, infrastructure, security and has had more money than many administrations. The for what and why must be made clear and in 2023 there is only one opportunity to end populism in the first round,” insisted the current president of the PRO bloc in the Chamber of Deputies.
Ritondo’s opinion on the candidacy of Fernando Burlando as governor of Buenos Aires
«Everyone has the right to compromise and get involved in politics. We will have to see what Burlando aspires to, what he wants to do and what his ideas are. If the idea is to end populism and generate rapid change, dialogue can be held,” said the political leader who was former first vice president of the Buenos Aires Legislature between 2011 and 2015. Although Burlando ran as a candidate, it is not yet known if he will be within JxC or in Javier Milei’s La Libertad Avanza party.
