Expectations were exceeded on the first day of the trip to the rural communities of San Pedro to provide the anti-rabies vaccine and the use of dewormers for dogs and cats, as 215 pets were treated.

The staff of the Animal Care and Rehabilitation Center went to ejido San Esteban, where 208 dogs and 7 cats were vaccinated.

The head of the aforementioned department, Baltazar Moreno Leyva, indicated that the campaign is carried out in coordination with the Department of Health, which aims to guarantee that residents effectively protect their pets and free of charge, as well as preventing the presence of ticks and thus preventing the spread of certain diseases caused by the bite of the spotted insect, such as spotted fever.

Moreno Leyva called on citizens to be alert about the next visits he will make to the center or the communities.
