They are allowed in France, not in Belgium: why rapid serological tests in pharmacies are prohibited with us


The blood test taken by drop of blood is however marketed in several countries including France.

For a month now, France, like other European countries, has allowed its pharmacists to carry out rapid serological tests. With a small prick on the tip of the finger, the healthcare professional can indicate in a few minutes, after bringing the blood into contact with a reagent, whether the body has already developed an immune response against Covid-19 and therefore whether you have already contracted the virus. In Belgium, these tests have been banned by the FAMHP in order to avoid a misinterpretation of negative results.
