The money that is kept in unauthorized entities is not covered by the Deposit Insurance Fund, so you could lose it, warned the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS), after identifying 12 pages and companies that carry out financial activities without any authorization.
For this reason, this entity invokes the population to inquire about financial entities before requesting a loan or choosing where to save their money. For an entity to be able to make loans or accept people’s savings, they must be previously registered in the SBS registry, in accordance with article 11 of Law No. 26702.

In this sense, those who intend to capture or receive money from third parties, in the form of a deposit, mutual or any other modality without this authorization are committing a crime.
The Data: Before applying for a loan or choosing where to save, the SBS recommends checking which are the authorized financial institutions. If you need to make a complaint, you can call the SBS by calling 0-800-10840 or 01-200-1930.
Among the business schemes that do not have authorization to raise money from the public are Generación Zoe – ZOE, International Dreams, Xifra – Grupo Xifra, PietraVerdi, Financiera La Peruana and Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Fuerza Andina. All of these companies operate irregularly on social media.
