The Ministry of Health of the province of Buenos Aires indicated today that for the third consecutive week there was an increase in cases of coronavirus and recalled that the population must apply the vaccine reinforcements to avoid the rise in infections.
In an official statement, it was indicated that the latest data shows a growth of around 24% of those sick with coronavirus.
From the portfolio led by Nicolás Kreplak, it was recalled that all people over 18 years of age who have already spent four months since the application of the last coronavirus vaccine must apply a booster.
In this sense, it was specified that in Buenos Aires territory all the doses are available and you can attend the nearest vaccination without a shift prior.
In addition, it was recalled that in the province of Buenos Aires the vaccine is free and federal for Buenos Aires residents and people from other jurisdictions as well as foreigners.
Regarding the pediatric population, it was indicated that girls and boys over 3 years of age must have the first and second doses of the vaccine and that for those over 5, the third dose (first booster) is available since May.
It was also recalled that in the province of Buenos Aires a fifth dose of the vaccine against Covid-19 is applied to people over 50 years of age who received the Sinopharm vaccine as the first 2 doses, and to immunocompromised people over 12 years of age.
In this case, the fifth dose would be the second booster, since this group received a primary schedule of 3 doses (2 doses and one additional), unlike the majority of the population who had a primary schedule of two doses. They must also have passed 4 months since the application of the last vaccine.
Until now, in the Buenos Aires territory, 41,481,390 vaccines have been applied, of which 15,983,300 correspond to the first dose; 14,582,588 to the second; 9,432,082 to the third (first reinforcement) and 1,483,420 to the fourth (second reinforcement).
