A 13-year-old girl from Thessaloniki was severely beaten by four of her classmates, who beat her and forced her to smoke hashish. Her mother spoke to ANT1 about the attack she received from the group of underage girls, who held her hostage for hours.
“In fact, it is almost without reason that it happened. They knew two girls, the other two not at all. One girl was in a relationship with a boy, they had broken up and my daughter happened to be in the same group and the fights started,” said the 13-year-old’s mother.
“My daughter had booked a date with the other girl through social media. He had booked this appointment after a third girl intervened. They met with the first girl and another girl, they had settled the matter peacefully and she was getting ready to go to the second lesson at school. The girl who mediated, as my daughter was receiving messages on Instagram from the other girl and was not responding, she told her that she wanted to talk to resolve the misunderstanding, so she agreed to meet,” he said.

Referring to the nightmarish moments she claims the 13-year-old experienced, her mother said she lost consciousness.
“They made her kneel down, apologize for something and after she apologized and my daughter stood up, the third girl, the date broker, wrapped my daughter’s hair around in her hands, he threw her down and punched her on the head and abdomen. She lost consciousness my daughter and when she came back she said to my daughter “let alone the other time dead” he said.
“I don’t know exactly what moment, but a fourth girl, whom my daughter was seeing for the first time, was heard saying ‘the cigarette is coming.’ My daughter took 2-3 puffs and told them “I smoked a cigarette, I want to leave”, the 13-year-old’s mother continued her description.
They held her hostage
“They held my daughter hostage and every time she asked to leave, they hit her in the face and this girl told her ‘you have to give me 5 euros for cigarettes.’ I’m not sure if my daughter had tried a regular cigarette before then, not Indian hemp,” he said.
The 13-year-old’s mother also said the group of juveniles threatened her daughter that “if you tell your mom or any cops they will find you dead” and noted that “some of these girls were 15-16 years old. They were all arrested the next day, but released.” He concluded by saying that the 13-year-old “hasn’t been to school since. We still haven’t done the forensic examination, because the child is not feeling well.”
