The authorities are looking for the end of the thread, for the death of the 60-year-old in Thessaloniki, when it is revealed that his 50-year-old wife, who is accused of murdering him by giving him mercury, had finally bought 23 mercury thermometers, shortly before her husband end up
In fact, he had told one of the pharmacists that he wanted the thermometers to give them to a KAPI, as he reveals in MEGA.
“There must have been four or five (thermometers) the first time and the second time six, seven, eight. Six to eight. It seemed (strange) to me that it was more than five. Of course, he had told me SOMETHING, if I remember correctly, something like that he had said yes to me” he says.
What does the 50-year-old say?
“I initially bought at least six mercury thermometers from a pharmacy in Panorama. I gave one to my husband who was in hospital, the rest I sent by parcel to my sister in Poland. After a few days, I went to another pharmacy in Perea, buying twelve more mercury thermometers, of which I gave one to my husband again, while the rest I sent by parcel to Poland,” she claims.
Her husband, however, when he was discharged, denied to the officers that he had received any thermometer from his wife.
“How can you justify this thing now? And how did the case get filed after they found the thermometers and all that stuff?” says a relative of the 60-year-old.
The sizeable amount the 50-year-old bought is surprising given that mercury thermometers are no longer in mass circulation.
The authorities are also investigating the increased levels of the active substance of an antipsychotic drug that was detected after the toxicology tests of the 60-year-old, drugs that he received while he was hospitalized. With the hospital assuring that the administration was not done by the medical staff.
