Police in Thessaloniki arrested an 85-year-old man yesterday.
There was a previous complaint according to which the 85-year-old man, at noon on May Day in the area of Chalastra, injured a stray domestic companion animal (dog) with the use of a firearm.
The elderly man was arrested as part of searches for violating animal welfare legislation.
The arrested person, with the case filed against him, will be taken to the competent Prosecutor.
