The authorities in Thessaloniki have been alerted for the discovery of a fully decomposed body in the area of Epanomi.
According to information from thestival.gr, the body was found inside a maisonette that is under construction in a remote area in Epanomi.
The macabre sight that the owner witnessed
The owner of the house was confronted with the hideous sight at noon on Monday (21/10), when he visited his building, which is located in a rural area next to the Epanomi provincial road. There he saw a skeletonized body lying on the ground and in fear alerted the Police.
The police officers who rushed to the scene located and examined the body and identified the deceased. He is a man of Hungarian nationality.
He was wearing a shirt, pants and shoes and was lying on his back on the ground.
The body was transferred to the forensic service, while an autopsy and toxicology tests have already been ordered, in order to obtain more information about the body, as it is unknown whether or not it was a criminal act.
The case is being investigated by the Police.
