“What the hell just happened?” cried Baldwin, panicked.
“I can’t feel my legs,” Hutchins told lighting head Serge Svetnoy, who held her after she fell backwards. She spoke quietly and breathed deeply.
“What the f**k was that? That burns!”, shouted director Joel Souza, who was also hit by a bullet that shouldn’t have been in that revolver.
Hutchins’s last words came after protagonist Baldwin fired a Colt .45 revolver that was supposed to be blank-loaded, but contained live ammunition. “That wasn’t good,” the sound engineer told Hutchins according to The Los Angeles Times. “No,” she replied. “That was not good. That was not good at all.” She died in hospital a few hours later.

Alec Baldwin had drawn and fired the gun as scripted. With the known consequences. A doctor was immediately called out. He was quickly on the spot, and tried to stop the heavy bleeding at Hutchins.
“Shocked and sad”
David Halls, the assistant director of the film ‘Rest’, said this weekend he was shocked and saddened by her passing.
Halls is the last employee to hold the weapon that Baldwin used to fire the deadly shot. In his statement, he said: “Halyna Hutchins was not only one of the most talented people I worked with, but also a friend. I am shocked and saddened by her death.”
The veteran assistant director was given the weapon by 24-year-old film gunsmith, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who had prepared it. He then gave the gun to Baldwin, who accidentally shot the 42-year-old camerawoman with it. Halls allegedly told him the gun was “cold,” meaning no bullets in it.
Halls would have admitted to the police that he did not check the weapon sufficiently.
No charges have been filed against Baldwin.
