Telset.id, Jakarta – A few days after its release, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is ready to hit the market. It is proven by the announcement of several new smartphones powered by this chipset.
Quoted Telset from Gadget 360 on Sunday (22/5/2022), is realme, Asus and OnePlus, a vendor that has announced the presence of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC in one of its devices.
Starting from Realme, which on its Weibo site explains the presence of Snapdragon 8+ in the Realme GT2 Master Explorer Edition body.
The company even claims that the GT2 will be the first Android phone to be equipped with the latest Qualcomm processor. Unfortunately the launch date is not yet known.

Meanwhile, Asus is another vendor that has confirmed the use of Snapdragon 8+. This Taiwanese vendor said that the ROG Phone 6 series will be supported by Qualcomm’s latest SoC.
According to the company, the ROG Phone 6 will be the first gaming smartphone, using the 8th Gen 1 successor. Just like the GT2, it is not yet known when the smartphone will launch.
The ROG Phone 6 is the successor to the ROG Phone 5, and according to reports, the design is similar to its predecessor.
Third is OnePlus. Through Weibo, OnePlus also plans to release a smartphone with support for the latest Qualcomm processor. Unfortunately OnePlus does not provide information about the name of the smartphone.
It’s just that the company promises that smartphones will enter the market in the third quarter (Q3) of 2022.
Although the news for the three smartphones is not complete, this is a sign that this year customers will soon get a smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset.
Qualcomm Releases Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1
Qualcomm officially released Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 7 Gen 1. Both of these processors are claimed to have faster CPU and GPU performance and are more battery efficient.
Qualcomm Snapragon 8+ Gen 1 offers a number of performance improvements over the previous generation chipset.
For example, the main core of this processor can run up to 3.2 Ghz or 200 Mhz higher than the series 8. Then the CPU and GPU are 10% faster and 20% better performance per watt thanks to the support of the AI engine in the processor.

That’s not including the 30% more battery-efficient CPU and GPU, as well as all the cutting-edge technology packed into the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
The technologies in question are volumetric rendering, ISP capable of capturing HDR 8K footage, Bokeh Engine for video, camera sensors up to 200MP, high-quality X65 5G modem and built-in device security from Qualcomm Secure.
Regarding chipset fabrication, the Qualcomm processor is built with 4 nm fabrication, the same as its predecessor. [NM/IF]
