Twitter is not dead yet, but new social networks already want to take its place. Alphonzo Terrell, who led Twitter’s “social and editorial” team, was fired by Elon Musk in early November. Three months later, the leader raised funds for his own social network, called “Spill”, from the English “spill the tea”, which means to tell a crisp gossip.
The new app raised $2.75 million at the end of January. It works for the moment with a reduced team including Alphonzo Terrell in the role of CEO and as technical director Devaris Brown, another former Twitter user who had left the platform to found his start-up.
