Whether you start at an advanced age or prematurely, life is always too short. It is therefore with sadness that we open the latest chapter in our retrospective on the celebrities who have departed in recent months with Jerry Lee Lewis. The legendary rocker died at the age of 87 last October and was still performing in 2019 before the pandemic brought the world to a halt.
Aaron Carter was just 34 when he was found dead in his bathtub last November. The former child star would have drowned, but the conditions of his disappearance remain unclear.
Sad also the premature death, that of Tom Parker. The Wanted singer suffered a brain tumor at the age of 33.
He also sang, but in a completely different register: Irene Cara, the interpreter of Fame and of Flash Dance he died at home at the age of 63 this fall. His cause of death remains unknown at this time.
The seventh art is in mourning
We end this sad list with characters from the 7th art, starting with Mylène Demongeot. The star of The witches of Salemfrom the saga Phantoms or more recently by the franchise Camping, passed away at the age of 87 on December 1st. Suffering from a tumor, at the end of the summer she had decided to stop a treatment that was making her suffer too much.
Wilko Johnson first rose to prominence in the 1970s as the frontman of the group Dr. Feelgood but enjoyed a second hour of fame as Sir Ilyn Payne, the terrifying executioner of game of Thrones. His death was announced in November. He was 75 years old.
Finally, the actress Kirstie Alley, star of Hello mom here Babydied aged 71 last month after briefly battling devastating cancer.
