The RTV Subscription Act clearly states that anyone who has both a television and a radio receiver must pay the subscription. Car radios are also subject to a fee. In principle, anyone who does not pay the RTV subscription is subject to a penalty. We can be checked by employees of the Polish Post Office. Houses and flats of Poles are inspected. The Act also provides that there are people who are exempt from paying the RTV license fee. Who doesn’t have to pay a subscription?
In 2023, the RTV subscription fee is as follows:
- PLN 53 for two months,
- PLN 78.70 for three months,
- PLN 155.70 for six months,
- PLN 294.90 for twelve months.
If we only have a radio, the fees are lower and are as follows:
- PLN 16.90 for two months,
- PLN 25.10 for three months,
- PLN 49.60 for six months,
- PLN 94 for twelve months.
If you do not pay the RTV subscription, you must take into account the control of Poczta Polska employees. Its controllers can knock on your door and check if you have a radio or TV. People who paid a subscription and stopped doing so are most often subject to control. However, their data is functioning in the system and the controllers will most likely appear at their place.
