The second half of the year is upon us, and the top trends for 2024 have already emerged. While I am a big advocate of the anti-trend myself – that is, I always buy the basics before I reach for the extravagant it-piece – there are certain styles, colors and cuts that even convince me. Am I willing to spend three-digit sums on them? Not really, I’ll be honest. That’s why I turned to the place that is guaranteed to have one or two of the fashion trends of the year up its sleeve: the new arrivals from H&M.

Fashion is dynamic. Trends come and go, and quickly. While you’ve probably already bought some of the year’s fashion must-haves, you might still be missing a color or cut in your closet. So here are my favorites – a mix of pieces for everyday and evening wear that can also be mixed and matched. Red and silver are just as essential as mesh à la Saint Laurent A/W ’24, ballerinas and camisols as the basis of French chic and, of course, buckle bags (think: Balenciaga’s “Le City” and Acne Studios’ “Musubi”).
