These Marvel series really won’t get a second season

With one real exception, Marvel Studios’ various series on Disney+ all have one thing in common: they only get one season.

Apart from Lokiwhich not only got the green light for a second season last year, but was also the best viewed of all Marvel series, there seem to be no plans for second seasons of the remaining series.

One and done
In any case, this is almost certainly the case for Hawkeye in Moon Knight, the two most recent MCU series. According to Variety, Disney would enter these series at the Emmys for the Best Mini or Anthology Series category (which also included WandaVision submitted last year). And miniseries usually don’t get a second season.

And while the characters from the ‘one and done’ series will no doubt show up elsewhere in the MCU, the Emmy broadcast ensures that the adventures of Hawkeye and Moon Knight will no longer be on TV.

Moon Knight ends on May 4 with the sixth and final episode.
