Nowadays, almost every home has access to wireless internet. It is a great convenience in using devices such as a phone, tablet, laptop. However, some objects can interfere with or weaken signal reception. Therefore, you should not keep them close to the router if you want to have a good range. So what should not be placed next to the router? We explain.
These may be signs of wifi interference:
- disconnecting a wireless connection,
- problems with pairing Bluetooth devices,
- slow performance of one device when the other is on,
- the strength of the wireless signal decreases within the range of the router,
- slow download and upload speed.
The router should not be locked in a cupboard or placed under a bed, placed next to metal objects, e.g. a radiator. All metal and concrete obstacles significantly weaken the range. If you know what causes signal interference, you can counteract and improve the quality of your internet connection. What weakens the Wi-Fi signal? See now in our gallery.
