These entrepreneurs are no longer on the list of Indonesia’s 10 richest people

Recently, Forbes released a list of Indonesia’s richest people in 2022. In the latter list, several businessmen’s names were knocked out of the top 10 positions.

Collectively, the value of the wealth of the Indonesian conglomerates on the latter list has increased to US$180 billion or the equivalent of Rp2.808 trillion. Ratings have changed. Several new names moved up to the top 10 of the chart, accompanied by several names being dropped from the list.

According to Forbes, on Saturday (31/12/2022), there are 3 big names who are now walking off the list, including Susilo Wonowidjojo, Jogi Hendra Atmadja and Bachtiar Karim.

Susilo Wonowidjojo is the big boss of PT Gudang Garam Tbk, one of the cigarette manufacturers in the country. The company produced 91 billion cigarettes in 2021.

As of 2021, Susilo Wonowidjojo once ranked as the seventh richest person in Indonesia with a total wealth of US$4.8 billion or the equivalent of 74.88 trillion rupees (exchange rate of 15,600 rupees).

But in 2022 he has to give up his position and move to 14th place. Susilo Wonowidjojo’s total wealth currently stands at US$3.5 billion or the equivalent of Rs. 54.6 trillion.

Meanwhile, Jogi Hendra Atmadja heads Mayora Group, one of the largest food companies in Indonesia. The Mayora Group sells many of its brands, including Kopiko, Danisa and Roma, in more than 100 countries.

As of 2021, he ranks as the 9th richest person in Indonesia with assets reaching US$4.1 billion or the equivalent of Rs. 63.96 trillion. Now he has dropped to 12th place with a wealth of US$3.95 billion or the equivalent of Rp 61.62 trillion.

Then the last one is Bachtiar Karim. He is the head of Musim Mas, a palm oil company with revenues of $9.9 billion by 2021.

Bachtiar holds the position of the 10th richest person in Indonesia in 2021. At that time, his wealth reached US$3.5 or the equivalent of 54.6 trillion rupees. Currently his position is down to 11th place. However, his wealth has actually increased to US$4 billion or the equivalent of Rp 62.4 trillion.

Interestingly, the Hartono brothers are still stuck in the top position. This family has been recorded as the richest person in Indonesia for 14 consecutive years. The family has occupied the top position in the list of richest people in Indonesia since 2008.

4. Sri Prakash Lohia: US$7.7 billion or IDR120.2 trillion.
5. Anthoni Salim: US$7.5 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 117 trillion
6. Chairul Tanjung: US$5.2 billion or Rp. 81.12 trillion.
7. Prajogo Pangestu: US$5.1 billion or Rp. 80.7 trillion.
8. Boenjamin Setiawan: US$4.8 billion or Rp 74.88 trillion.
9. Tahir and family: US$4.2 billion or Rp 65.52 trillion.
10. Djoko Susanto: US$4.1 billion or Rp 63.96 trillion.

These are the 3 names of entrepreneurs who were kicked out of the top 10 richest people in Indonesia.
