Facebook helps us connect with friends and family wherever they are in the world.
The so-called social network giant is consolidating its position as the world’s most popular social media platform with 2.8 billion monthly active users in 2021.
And as if that number weren’t amazing enough, 1.84 billion users visit Facebook every day and use at least one of its core products such as WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger.
So it’s no surprise that Facebook’s success has been so sustained since its arrival on the social media scene in 2004.
Speaking to Facebook Reports Second Quarter 2021, founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg revealed the future of the website looks bright, saying, “We’ve had a strong quarter as we continue to help businesses grow and people stay connected.”

10. United Kingdom (41 million users)
Facebook users made up around two-thirds (66.4 percent) of the UK population in 2018, and that statistic has certainly grown in the years in between.

9. Turkey (44 million)
In 2018, Facebook users made up 54.4 percent of the country’s population in the Middle East.
Turkey, with its young and increasingly computer literate population, finds its language today as the fourth most popular language in web content worldwide.
