These channels and presenters should be concerned after mega merger RTL and Talpa | show

RTL will soon own the majority of the shares. Is Talpa boss John de Mol the big loser of the merger?
Not quite. RTL may soon have 70 percent of the shares and Talpa 30 percent, but John de Mol is keeping his production company out of the deal. This way he can devote himself to the development of new TV formats to his heart’s content, which he can market worldwide. De Mol has also stipulated a purchase obligation with the new channel group, which he can therefore use as a shop window for his new programs. Director and TV expert Bert van der Veer sums it up nicely: ,,John is never bad off. That is not in his dictionary, everyone is already one step ahead of everyone.”
