In recent years, the average age at which most people have their first child has increased. Women are no longer required to stay home and raise children as they once were, leading many to have children later in life after they have reached a certain level of success and maturity. In the United States, the average age of childbirth for women reached the median age of 30 for the first time in 2022.
In Hollywood, on the other hand, parents seem to be getting younger and younger! Many stars from every generation have had children early for various reasons, but it’s strange to see celebrity trends not align with the wider population. Some of the biggest stars of the new generation have already settled down, married and had children in their early to mid-twenties. Does the spotlight make them look older than they are? Or is it financial independence that makes the biggest difference?
