These are the vaccination points enabled for this Wednesday, July 13 in Bogotá

The District Health Secretariat of Bogotá reported which are the inoculation points against covid-19 that will be enabled this Wednesday, July 13, so that Bogotans can approach them and protect themselves against SARS-CoV-2.

The health authorities have emphasized in recent weeks the vaccination campaign against the virus, especially now that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection (MinSalud) has confirmed the fifth peak of covid-19 cases in the country.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the increase in covid-19 infections has exceeded 30% in the last two weeks worldwide, which has launched campaigns to resume vaccination, which decreases from the end of 2021.

In the specific case of Bogotá, it should be noted that it continues to be the city with the most new cases in each report from the Ministry of Health on the epidemiological situation of the national territory, which has made the authorities put the magnifying glass on the self-care management of citizens.

In fact, in the last report, the Colombian capital registered, from July 1 to 7, a figure of 8,846 new cases of the virus, once again leading the list of infections among the regions of the country.

These are the vaccination posts that will be in operation, according to the health office, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm:

  • El Tintal Library.
  • Santafe Shopping Center.
  • Center of Excellence 94.
  • Mall Plaza Shopping Center.
  • Nice Boulevard Shopping Center.
  • Centro Mayor shopping mall.
  • Dorado Plaza Shopping Center.
  • Chile Avenue Shopping Center.
  • Plaza Imperial Shopping Center.
  • Cafam Floresta Shopping Center.
  • La Colina Park Shopping Center.
  • Our Bogota Shopping Center.
  • Gran Plaza Dream Bosa Shopping Center.
  • Titan Plaza Shopping Center (from 9 am)

On the other hand, the points enabled from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm are:

  • SuperCADE Bosa.
  • SuperCADE Americas.
  • SuperCADE Engativá.
  • Paseo Villa del Rio Shopping Center.
  • Hacienda Santa Barbara Shopping Center.
  • Plaza de las Americas shopping center.
  • Dream Shopping Center.
  • Galleries Shopping Center.
  • El Eden Shopping Center.
  • Christus Synergy (North Highway #103 – 13)

The Secretariat has been emphatic that any person can go to these immunization points regardless of which health promoting entity, EPS, they are affiliated with or if they are not affiliated.

In addition to insisting on vaccination, the authorities have emphasized the need for people with respiratory symptoms to wear a mask from the first day they appear, to prevent further transmission of the virus.

Although the repeal of the health emergency on June 30 eliminated the possibility that the mask was the norm and had to be used compulsorily, The Ministry of Health recommended that Colombians wear the mask in closed spaces as a preventive measure.

This Tuesday, the Emergency Committee of the WHO International Health Regulations agreed to continue considering the coronavirus as a public health emergency of international concern.

This decision is due to the fact that, as in the national territory, cases of coronavirus continue to increase every week in the world, due, in large part, to the BA4 and BA5 subvariants of omicron, as well as the lifting of restrictions in many parts of the world and the reduction in diagnostic tests.
