These are the Top Five Best Smartphone Brands in Indonesia today

JawaPos.com – Market research firm IDC has released its latest report on the state of the domestic smartphone market. Through a report titled IDC Worldwide Quarterly Mobile Phone Tracker, IDC reveals the Top 5 best smartphone brands in Indonesia today.

IDC version, Oppo is reported to be the number one player in the Indonesian smartphone market in 2021 after being shifted by Vivo in the previous year. Oppo reportedly managed to record a total shipment of 8.5 million units with a market share of 20.8 percent.

The second position is occupied by Xiaomi with a total shipment of 8.1 million units and a market share of 19.8 percent. Following in third, fourth and fifth positions, there was Vivo with 7.4 million units (18.1 percent), Samsung 7.2 million units (17.6 percent), Realme 5 million units (12.2 percent), and other brands 4.7 million units.

“There was a strong recovery in 2021, with shipments of 40.9 million smartphones resulting in a growth of 11 percent,” reads the IDC report received. JawaPos.com.

Still from the same report, Oppo recorded Year on Year (YoY) growth of three percent with a greater focus on the low-end segment. Oppo also dominates the low-end market share in 2021 at 28 percent, higher than last year’s 24 percent.

For Xiaomi, the brand that is no longer popular with cheap devices managed to post the highest growth in 2021 among the top five players at 34.2 percent although their shipments were hampered in the second half of 2021 due to supply constraints.
