The midfielder played for numerous clubs, won the DFB-Pokal and KNVB Cup in his career, and can be seen in the Eredivisie this season. With 27 games and 1,656 playing minutes, the 36-year-old De Guzmán seems to be able to continue for a while.
Bart van Hintum switched to ADO Den Haag last summer just before the end of the transfer period. Yet he played three games in the Eredivisie with PEC Zwolle this season, with the defender even being on the field for the entire ninety minutes twice. This earns him fourth place on this list.
The 37-year-old goalkeeper has Lars Unnerstall ahead of him at FC Twente and therefore has to make do with a place on the bench. However, he made one appearance this season. In the away match against Vitesse, the goalkeeper played ninety minutes. FC Twente won, but Tyton conceded one goal.
Lasse Schöne won the Eredivisie three times with Ajax. In 2021 he returned to his old club NEC. He will be in action here regularly this season. The midfielder played twenty games and played 1,208 minutes. He scored once in total and that was not an insignificant one: the 1-1 against PSV. NEC eventually won this match 3-1 and handed PSV their first, and so far only, defeat of the Eredivisie season.
Unfortunately, we will no longer be able to see Bram van Polen on the Dutch football fields next year. Yesterday the defender announced that he was ending his career. As a result, he leaves the club where he played no fewer than seventeen seasons and five hundred games. No player in the club history of the ‘Blauwvingers’ has played as many Eredivisie matches as Van Polen (293). And to take yet another record: the oldest player to play in the Eredivisie this season.
