After the Wiler Sports Night had to be canceled last year, the best athletes will be chosen again on January 14, 2022. There are three nominees in each of the “Young Talent”, “Team” and “Adults” categories. The prize is awarded by the IG Wiler sports clubs.

Martin Senn, President of IG Wiler Sportvereine, admits that it is becoming more and more difficult for associations to give such honors: “We struggle to nominate athletes every year. In principle, athletes or teams should be suggested to us by their clubs, but very often we have to look for nominees ourselves. ” But he also understands that it was not an easy year for the sport:
