These are the nominees for the MIA: Stromae is the favorite and Pommelien Thijs overtakes CAMILLE | Music

Flemish music professionals in radio, television, written press and online music media nominated four artists per category. It’s up to the public and the music industry to choose their favorite tunes. You can vote from November 30th to December 11th via mias.be.

A total of 29 groups and artists received nominations. With Stromae in the lead, who obtained nine. The singer can win an MIA for: ‘Album’, ‘Pop’, ‘Solo man’, ‘Hit of the year’, ‘Artwork’, ‘Author/composer’, ‘Live act’, ‘Producer’ and ‘Video clip ‘ ‘.

Charlotte Adigéry and Bolis Pupul are not much inferior to Stromae, they have eight nominations to their name: ‘Album’, ‘Alternative’ and ‘Group’, ‘Artwork’, ‘Author/Composer’, ‘Live act’, ‘Producer’ and ‘Video clips’. And of course Angèle does not miss the prestigious music awards. The singer earned seven nominations: “Album”, “Pop”, “Solo Female”, “Hit of the year 2022”, “Artwork”, “Author/Composer” and “Musician”.

It also promises to be an exciting evening for Pommelien Thijs. The singer has the chance to win five MIAs, those for ‘Breakthrough’, ‘Dutch language’, ‘Solo woman’, ‘Hit of the year 2022’ and ‘Videoclip’. With this she surpasses her colleague “#LikeMe” CAMILLE. She, Metejoor and Oscar & the Wolf each received four nominations. CAMILLE for ‘Dutch language’, ‘Pop’, ‘Solo woman’ and ‘Live act’, Metejoor for ‘Album’, ‘Dutch language’, ‘Hit of the year 2022’ and ‘Solo man’ and Oscar and the Wolf for ‘Pop’, ‘Solo man’, ‘Artwork’ and ‘Live act’.

Additionally, Sylvie Kreusch, Charlotte de Witte, Coely, Dana Winner, BLUAI, Margriet Hermans, Stefanie Mannaerts and Selah Sue, among others, have a chance to win an MIA.
