1. Able to send files already larger than 2GB
One of the new changes that WhatsApp has implemented is the addition of the ability to send files.

While in the past WhatsApp was only able to send files or documents with a maximum size of 100MB, now WhatsApp users can send files up to 2GB.
Sending files larger than 2 GB is present on WhatsApp Android version 2.22.17.76 and WhatsApp iOS version 22.18.76.
With this change, you can now send files 20 times larger than before.
2. Can mute group call participants
If previously during a group call you could only mute your voice, a new change in WhatsApp is now able to mute the voices of other participants when you are making a group call.
To mute, users can tap and hold the column of the group member they want to mute.
Then the options “mute (contact name)” and “Message (contact name)” will appear.
Press “Mute (contact name)” to mute specific contact calls.
Not only during group calls, WhatsApp applies the changes, in which you can now mute the voices of other users during voice calls.
This functionality was present on WhatsApp Android with version 2.22.17.76 and WhatsApp iOS version 22.18.76.
3. Leave the group in secret
As you know, so far when you leave a group, it will surely leave a trace in the form of the words “(username) left the group”. With the current WhatsApp changes, you can now leave groups in secret without a trace.
4. Specially displays unread messages
Another change that WhatsApp has implemented is that users can specifically see which messages they haven’t had time to read.
So far, users can only view messages from the “Chat” column where the messages have been read or not, they will be mixed together, making it quite difficult to resolve if they receive a lot of messages.
Now WhatsApp is implementing a new change, namely the “Unread” option to display specifically unread messages. The trick is to click the “search” icon, then click the “Unread” button to display a row of unread messages.
5. Change the time to delete the message
Another change implemented by WhatsApp was that WhatsApp extended the time limit for deleting messages that were sent.
With this new change, users have more time to have the option to delete messages they sent at 60 hours or 2 days 12 hours. The ability to delete a message before it is edited is only 4096 seconds, which is 1 hour 8 minutes 16 seconds.
The addition of the “delete for all” duration from WhatsApp was previously announced by WhatsApp on Tuesday (8/9/2022).
6. Send message without saving the number
If previously WhatsApp users had to save someone’s number to send messages, now WhatsApp no longer applies that rule.
Now, if the user clicks on the number sent by WhatsApp, they will receive a series of options. The options are to send a message directly, make a call or add to a contact.
To be able to send messages directly via WhatsApp without saving a number, users can click the “Chat with (WhatsApp user number)” option.
Then the user can chat without having to save the number.
