These are the new rules that will govern the islands until April 11 | Radio Mallorca | Hour 14 Balearic Islands

Mallorca will open the interior of the bars, Ibiza the terraces and Menorca the restaurants until ten at night. This Friday an extraordinary Government Council will be held in which a flexibilization of the measures for all the islands and a change in levels will be approved. Ibiza will go to level 3, Mallorca and Formentera to 2 and Menorca to level 1. The measures will be in effect until next April 11 but the exception will be during the days of Easter -from March 26 to April 11- when The homogeneous measures agreed by all the Autonomous Communities will be applied.

In Mallorca, meetings can be for up to 6 people indoors and outdoors with up to two coexistence centers. Small and medium-sized businesses may open until eight in the afternoon with a capacity of 75% and shopping centers with half capacity during the week and 30% on Saturdays. The bars and restaurants will be able to open the interiors with a 30% capacity inside and up to four people with a table.

Social gatherings

Social and family gatherings are held for a maximum of six people in two coexistence centers. The Government specifies that “birthday celebrations are considered family or social gatherings.” Despite this, between March 26 and April 11, both inclusive, family gatherings in private spaces may only have the participation of members of a single nucleus of coexistence. The curfew is maintained at 10 pm.

Restoration

Regarding interior restaurant areas, the interiors of bars and restaurants will be allowed up to a capacity of 30%, with a maximum of four people per table, from two coexistence centers. Bars are prohibited. The interiors will close at 17 hours.

It continues to allow service to terraces, which will have to stop serving at 5:00 p.m., with a capacity of 50% and a maximum of 4 diners from two different coexistence centers. The indoor and outdoor capacity will have to be publicized.

Commerce

Regarding small businesses, the capacity of commercial establishments is increased from 50% to 75%, and the closure is maintained at 8:00 p.m., except for gas stations and establishments dedicated to essential commerce.

Shopping centers and department stores

The 50% capacity is maintained during the week, but if until now both shopping centers and large stores had to close on weekends and holidays, from now on they are allowed to open with 30% capacity on Saturdays. The closing is maintained at 20 hours.

Beaches

Access to beaches will be allowed, which will remain closed at night; the town councils will regulate the closing hours. The maximum groups will be six people, from two coexistence groups. The use of masks in social gatherings on the beaches will be mandatory.

Non-contact outdoor physical activities (includes excursions)

Except for the cases in which it is specifically established otherwise, physical activity can be done outdoors, including excursions, in groups of a maximum of 10 people.

Parks and outdoor recreation areas

Closed at night. Mandatory use of a mask in social gatherings in these spaces, except exclusively when eating food or beverages.

Gyms

The directed activity rooms can remain open to the public with a reduction in capacity of 30% of the usual maximum authorized capacity, and the simultaneous presence of a group of maximum 10 people in low intensity activities and 6 in the activities of high intensity, always with a mask. The weight rooms can open with a 30% capacity and a mandatory mask.

The presence of meters and ventilation is mandatory. The changing rooms may have a capacity of 30%, allowing the use of showers, alternately.

Ceremonies (weddings, baptisms, wakes, funerals …)

It is recommended to postpone the celebration of civil or religious wedding ceremonies and celebrations, first communions and baptisms. If they are held, they will have to be done with 10 people outdoors and 6 indoors with a capacity of 30% indoors.

Places of worship

It goes from 30% to 50% of capacity.

Socio-sanitary centers

Until now visits were limited to one per resident and one hour a day, now visits are allowed. Departures are allowed as before.

Recreation centers for the elderly

Until now in Mallorca they could only do directed activities with groups of six people with a capacity of 30% and bar service and food intake was prohibited. Now it remains the same, but with a maximum capacity of 50%.

Dance academies

The capacity remains at 30% and groups of 6 are allowed for low intensity activities and groups of 10 people for high intensity activities, always with a mask.

Indoor areas of sports facilities and centers

The use of changing rooms is maintained at 30%, except for team or contact sports (if not due to displacement between islands or state). And the ban on the use of showers is maintained. From now on, in addition, for the rest of the sports facilities (not bodybuilding rooms or directed activities), 50% capacity.

Academies, driving schools and other non-regulated training centers

50% of the capacity is maintained (SOIB courses, 100%).

Children’s leisure centers

The capacity of 50% is maintained and it goes from groups of 6 to groups of 10. Eating and drinking are allowed for 30 minutes.

Youth Recreation Centers

They are kept at 50% capacity, but the groups go from 6 people indoors and 10 outdoors to groups of 10 people maximum, in any case.

Federated and professional sports practice

Until now, a maximum of 3 weekly training sessions for team and contact sports were allowed, with the possibility of physical contact for federated athletes from 12 years of age. From now on, the practice and a maximum of three weekly training sessions for team and contact sports are allowed, with the possibility of physical contact for federated athletes from 6 years of age. And team and contact sports competitions are allowed exclusively for federated athletes from 12 years of age, but it will only be possible to compete in the insular area.

Sporting events

Until now, no public was allowed. From now on, in state-level sports competitions, the capacity will be 200 indoors (25% of capacity) and 400 outdoors (50% of capacity).

Big top cinemas and circuses

The capacity of 50% is maintained and a capacity of 40% is allowed with the possibility of consuming food and beverages.

Theaters, auditoriums and similar spaces

Until now, a 50% capacity was allowed in theaters and auditoriums and 30% in closed ‘similar spaces’ with a maximum of 100 people. Now the capacity of 50% is maintained for theaters and auditoriums and that of ‘similar spaces’ is increased to 50%, with a maximum of 200 people in indoor closed spaces and 400 outdoors.

Libraries, archives, museums, etc.

The maximum capacity of 50% is maintained.

Public transport

The limitation of only admitting seated passengers is maintained for intercity buses and, for the train and metro, the limitation of occupying only the seats and the marked standing places.
