It is rarely a “Farmen” season without drama, and this year’s gang has already made several headlines.
Last week couldSee and listen reveal that two of the participants had been on smuggling in the forest repeatedly, and that there was full washing up behind the scenes.
On Tuesday, there will also be three new participants, who are ready to make life on the farm. Among them is Torstein Knutsen (62), who has been waiting for many years to get a chance in the farm adventure.
– I was auditioning six or seven years ago. I did not come at that time, and I had really given up a little. But many of my friends have insisted that I join, and in the end it was a friend who signed me up this year, he says to Se og Hør.
Dye your hair blue
Tromsdalingen explains that he has “everything needed” to cope with the TV competition, as he works as a carpenter, has run a farm and has sewing matters in order.

– I’m like a potato. I know the hell where I learned everything, but I know most things, he says.
He is also good at keeping his head cool, which the ice blue weld illustrates well.
– I take a challenge head on, and my daughter-in-law has a hair salon in Tromsø. She said this spring that she wanted to do something with my weld, and that she would do what she wanted. She knows that blue is my favorite color, so that’s how it turned out, he says with a laugh.
– I have an 88 model Chevrolet truck in exactly the same color, so there has been a lot of laughter. In fact, people my own age have said that I wore it!
Got high school feeling
He is joined in the challenger trio by assistant professor and environmental therapist Anette Svendsen (40). She explains that she would initially refuse to come in as a challenger, but that she failed to let the opportunity pass her by.
– It’s like starting upper secondary school in the middle of the school year, and no one is keen to get to know you. It was also a bit of the feeling I got when I came in. There were a lot of impressions at once, and I thought “oh my god, this is not going to work”, she says to Se og Hør.
She had a clear vision of how she wanted to be inside “The Farm”.

– I think you can win “The Farm” without being an asshole. I never thought about the prize, but I had a plan to learn a lot of new things, to live in an everyday life that is very different from the one we have now, without telephone and TV. I did not know a shit when I came in!

Would give a damn
However, the third challenger has several skills in farming. Teacher student Gunnar Svingen (25) grew up on a small farm, and therefore has the mobile part inside. Although he would rather go in from the start, he chose to look at the challenger role as an opportunity.
– It is difficult to get into something that is already established, but it also gives you the position to attack. I did not know what it would be like, I just thought I would go in and give what I had and have it fat until it went no further.
– What can viewers expect from you on screen?
– They can expect someone who is at least there to explore. I was determined to just fire up and give a damn about everything. I have an attitude about taking things as they come.
The three “Farm” challengers will fight to become full-fledged participants in the farm adventure, but only two of them will be allowed to remain on the farm. Who gets to join is up to the original participants.
