These are the most important PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games of the fall (2021)

Games, we can’t get enough. Whether it’s shooting, racing, horror or adventure… we want it all.

Every fall a lot of new games are released, including now. Below are the most important PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 games this fall. Striking: the harvest from Sony PlayStation’s own studios is very meager for the last months of 2021. Sony is mainly aiming for content from other (third-party) publishers. At the same time, 2022 will be busier than ever.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition (date unknown)

Rockstar is going to give three GTA classics a new look.

The trilogy consists of: Grand Theft Auto 3 (2001), Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004). Little is known about the new version, however, Rockstar has announced that there will be several upgrades, such as graphical improvements and modern gameplay changes. The games will still keep their original look & feel.

The coming weeks are exciting, because then more will be known about the release date and whether the trilogy will also be available as separate games.

The games will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as for the Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, PC and even the Nintendo Switch. This version of the trilogy will also be released for iOS and Android, but that will not happen until 2022.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes – 22 oktober

The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is the third of eight planned installments in The Dark Pictures Anthology series. In 2019 there was Man of Medan and in 2020 we got Little Hope.

The player controls 5 characters trapped under an underground Mesopotamian temple during the 2003 Iraq War, where they are stalked and hunted by monsters and awakened.

The characters are CIA officer Rachel King (Ashley Tisdale), her husband, U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel Eric King (Alex Gravenstein), USMC Force Recon Marines First Lieutenant Jason Kolchek (Paul Zinno) and Sergeant Nick Kay (Moe Jeudy-Lamour) and Iraqi Army Lieutenant Salim Othman (Nick Tarabay).

Throughout the game, several decisions have to be made that can have long-term consequences, as they affect how the characters see each other and the course of the story. All characters can survive or die, depending on the decision the player makes.

The game has different difficulty levels for the quick time events and includes 4 main modes. In addition to the main theratical mode, players who pre-order the game will also gain access to the Curator’s Cut, which allows players to experience the story from another character’s perspective. “Shared Story” and “Movie Night”, the two multiplayer modes from the previous games, return in House of Ashes.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy – 26 oktober

Take on the role of Star-Lord in a video game version of Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The game is a single-player adventure in which Star-Lord must team up with Groot, Drax and the rest of the famous gang. Like the Avengers game, Square Enix does not use the Marvel movie license. So don’t expect this Star-Lord on Chris Pratt seems. And Vin Diesel does not vote for Groot.

Players can determine Star-Lord’s dialogue choices, these decisions have long-lasting consequences. For example, you can choose to sell Groot or Rocket Raccoon to a monster collector. Either to support people or not. The 80’s is mainly reflected in the wonderful soundtrack.

Riders Republic – 28 oktober

Riders Republic is for the daredevils: cycling, skiing, snowboarding and stunts with a wingsuit or rocket wingsuit. In Riders Republic you experience what it’s like to be an extreme athlete, in a world with always different athletes around you. Race and stunt through Bryce Canyon, Yosemite Valley, Mammoth Mountain, Sequoia Park, Zion, Canyonlands and Grand Teton.

Vanguard’s multiplayer mode launches with a total of 20 maps, 16 of which are for the core game modes, the other 4 for a brand new game mode called, “Champion Hill.”

In addition to the Gunsmith system returning in a new form, Vanguard’s multiplayer will also feature a so-called “Caliber system”. The newly introduced “blind fire” gameplay mechanics, which allow the player to shoot blindly around corners, will also be available in multiplayer mode.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 – 9 november

There are four exciting game modes in Jurassic World Evolution 2.

Team up with iconic characters from the movies, including Dr. Ian Malcolm (voiced by Jeff Goldblum) and Claire Dearing (voiced by Bryce Dallas Howard), and lead the DFW’s (Department of Fish and Wildlife) efforts to control, conserve and contain dinosaurs now living in the wild across the US.

Or dive into Chaos Theory mode. In this mode you can play key moments from your favorite movies, with a twist. Experience ‘what if’ scenarios from Jurassic World and Jurassic Park movies and see how these scenarios play out when you’re in control.

Additionally, Challenge and Sandbox modes are making a return. In the first mode, you will test your skills with a series of increasingly difficult challenges. In the second mode, you can unleash your creativity in an unlimited playground.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 is out on Steam, Epic Game Store, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
