As much as we love to travel and explore the world, there are places that are dangerous destinations and it is more than desirable to think carefully before embarking on such an adventure. Here are the places that BLIC informs about.
Death Valley, USA
The valley measured the highest temperature in the United States and the second highest in the world – 56.7 ° C in Greenland Ranch on July 10, 1913. Due to lack of water, Death Valley is among the driest and warmest places in the world. Temperatures of the order of 50 ° C are common in summer, while winter temperatures fall below 0 ° C.
Danakil, Eritrea
50-degree temperatures, many active volcanoes, geysers spewing toxic gases – is there anything more frightening and horrible? This is happening in the Danakil Desert, Africa. Most people would probably consider this awful place a literal “Hell on Earth”, but it still attracts many brave adventurers from all over the world, keep in mind that visiting the Danakil Desert alone, without an experienced guide, is strictly forbidden.
Peak Washington, USA
Mount Washington holds the world record for the strongest winds on Earth. The highest registered speed is 327 km / h. However, they are not the only problem in this area. Temperatures can drop to -40 degrees and the constant heavy snowfall makes Mount Washington a very dangerous place. Despite its modest height of 1917 meters, it is one of the deadliest peaks in the world.
Sinabung Volcano, Indonesia
It is an active volcano located on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. Outbreaks often occur that leave thousands without shelter or livelihood. Several times the nearby towns and villages have been completely covered with lava and ash – in 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The last explosion occurred on February 27, 2016. This eruption spews a deadly cloud of volcanic gas, rocks and ash to an altitude of 2,500 meters.

Ilia de Keimada Grande, Brazil
The forbidden island of Ilia de Queimada Grande is located off the coast of Brazil, 32 km off the coast of Sao Paulo. It is home to 4,000 of the deadliest snakes on the planet, including the golden viper. Their venom is so strong that it can melt human flesh. The government has banned visits as a life-threatening place. Only a few scientists who study snakes there every year have access to the Ilya de Queimada Grande.
Madidi National Park, Bolivia
At first glance, this place looks very picturesque, but in fact it is very dangerous. As it is home to the most poisonous and aggressive flora and fauna in the world – contact with any of the plants found in this park can cause severe itching, rash and dizziness. Any cut or even a small wound can be an occasion to become infected with tropical parasites.

Bikini Atoll, Marshall Islands
Lost somewhere in the ocean, this island looks like paradise. But Bikini Atoll has actually been home to a number of nuclear test programs that have turned the picturesque Bikini Island into a radioactive wasteland. Residents have been forced to abandon their homes, and even today the place remains dangerous to living organisms – the unusually high levels of radiation recorded on the island can cause cancer.
