The ground staff of the Dutch flag carrier KLM is called on Wednesday to stop work at the Amsterdam-Schiphol hub for four hours. The strike was initiated by the FNV union, which has been calling for a new collective agreement for employees for months. In advance, KLM announced that it would cancel twelve flights and called on its passengers to fly with hand luggage only if possible.

The impact on German airports is minimal. Upon request from airliners.de, Düsseldorf Airport announced that one rotation had to be canceled from a total of five flights. According to current information, a flight in Berlin was also canceled.

The airports in Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Bremen, Stuttgart and Munich announced that the strikes had no impact on the Amsterdam flights. However, one or the other connection could still fail, for example, it said from Frankfurt Airport.
