iPhone 13 mini expectations: small is nice
From iPhone 13 mini appears next to the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. It is the smallest iPhone of the bunch with a screen size of 5.4 inches. According to most rumors, the price of the iPhone 13 mini will remain the same as its predecessor, the iPhone 12 mini. Due to chip shortages, the amount on the price tag may be a bit higher, but we won’t know for sure until after Apples event op 14 september.

LiDAR scanner adds to it
Various rumors indicate that all iPhone 13 models (including the iPhone 13 mini) will receive a LiDAR scanner. The iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max en iPad Pro already have such a depth sensor on board.
LiDAR is a technique for measuring distances. Light is used to calculate how long it takes to reach an object or person and return to the lens. In practice, you use LiDAR, for example, to measure someone’s height, or for augmented reality apps.

Faster processor and better battery
There are a lot of wild rumors about the iPhone 13 mini, but in terms of hardware, we largely know where we stand. The new iPhone processor is probably faster and more energy-efficient. The expectations for the iPhone 13 mini are that it will get the new A15 processor.
According to the usually reliable Apple journalist Max Weinbach the iPhone 13 mini also gets a larger battery than its predecessor. That’s very nice, because the battery life of the iPhone 12 mini is okay, but no more than that. Not at all if you compare the usage time with, for example, the iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Furthermore, it seems that Apple will expand the maximum storage capacity to 1TB on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. That’s good news when you have an iPhone 13 mini in mind. Often Apple cancels the lowest storage capacity when a new option appears. The cheapest iPhone 12 mini has 64GB of storage. You will probably get 128GB with the cheapest iPhone 13 mini from now on.
