After the first direct flight from New York City to Palma landed on the island this Friday morning, the passengers of the flight at Son Sant Joan Airport were satisfied and full of anticipation for a few beautiful days in Mallorca. MM was there and was able to speak to some of the travelers personally.
There were for example Lauren and Alex from Philadelphia, who will get married in Mallorca in the coming days and are expecting 100 guests. However, not all of them were in the Boeing 767 of the first direct flight this Friday, but are arriving in later machines. “I don’t really like beach holidays that’s why we chose Mallorca,” explains Lauren. “The island offers so many activities that we certainly won’t get bored here. We want to get to know towns, villages and the mountains and are really looking forward to the traditional cuisine.”
Morgan and Michelle are looking forward to a relaxing holiday and are particularly excited about the rocky coast in the east of Mallorca. “We love cliff jumping”. Both know Spain, but have never been to the island, from which they expect great beaches and good weather.
For the travel photographer and influencer Eric Rubens from California, the island is the perfect place to take great pictures. “It’s not really a holiday. I’m going to drive from spot to sport for five days to take the best photos.” The former tennis professional will move into his accommodation with other influencer colleagues in Palma.
Beverly und Eric report: “We had a great flight, we were greeted with music and balloons at the gate in New York, because it was the first direct flight to the island.” Now both are looking forward to quiet days and the great Spanish weather. “We want to take this old wooden train to Sóller and we’ll definitely drink a lot of Spanish beer,” they both say with satisfaction.
