Vivo claims to develop the V1 chip in 24 months through collaboration with mobile phone manufacturers SoC. No less than 300 experts in the field of research and development were involved.
The V1 chip is specially designed to work closely with the main chip of the cellphone to produce professional visual quality with high computing power. So it is able to process data at high speed but with low latency and power consumption.
Vivo calls the V1 capable of completing parallel data processing such as GPU and DSP. To maximize its processing capacity, the Vivo V1 chip is able to optimize data storage up to 32MB. This exceeds the number that computers generally have today.
Read and write speeds can reach 35.84 Gbps. Thanks to the chip, the phone can record 1080p 60fps video with real-time noise reduction and frame insertion during video recording.
The chip can also perform MEMC noise reduction and frame insertion with low power consumption during low-light shooting while shooting 4K 30fps video. In addition, with the help of V1, the power consumed by the main chip ISP while previewing will also be lower than before.

Equally important, through a special algorithm, when processing data at high speed the V1 chip is able to reduce power consumption by up to 50%.

The V1 chip is already used in Vivo X70 Pro and X70 Pro Plus. According to a GSM Arena report, the Vivo X70 series will soon enter Indonesia after it was recently introduced in China.
