Every end of the year municipality of Guatemala organizes its Christmas festival, where there are sales, activities, games and food for the whole family.

When and where will the festival be?
The Christmas festival will begin on November 25 and end on December 23 in the Plaza de la Constitución. It will be open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and admission is free.
The inauguration will be at 7:00 p.m. and will have the participation of the municipal choirs and the Municipal Youth Symphony Orchestra. If you cannot attend, but would like to see it, it will be broadcast live on the mayor’s social networks.
What activities will there be?
During the festival, the hail slope, the frozen slide, a Chicago wheel and a planetarium with Christmas animations will be available. There will also be an illuminated photo village and a spaceship ride for younger children.

Will streets be closed in zone 1 during the festival?
According to the mayor’s communicator, Jorge Dysli, the Christmas festival will not close any streets in zone 1.
Will there be sales within the festival?
Yes. There will be an area of restaurants and Christmas bazaars, which will be available from November 24 to December 31 from 8:00 a.m. There will be 2,100 vendors.
Meanwhile, Plaza El Amate, despite not being part of the festival, will join its activities with a sale until midnight with special prices for toys, clothing, shoes, among other items. They scheduled it for December 16.

When will the mapping be in the Cathedral?
The mapping is a projection of figures, in this case Christmas, that the municipality carries out every year on the façade of the Metropolitan Cathedral during the Christmas festival. It will be available from December 14 to 17 in three performances at 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
During this event there will also be a mobile hospital and a MuniEduca booth, a program that provides courses, workshops and other educational activities to neighbors.
