JAKARTA, investor.id – The Ministry of SOEs recorded a profit of SOEs in the third quarter of 2021 of Rp 61 trillion. This achievement has increased compared to the realization for the full year of 2020 which was only Rp. 13 trillion.
A total of 10 SOEs earned the largest profits, namely PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) Rp 25.66 trillion, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) Rp 21.05 trillion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BRI) Rp 19.07 trillion, PT PLN Rp 12.45 trillion, MIND ID Rp 9.82 trillion, PT Bank Negara Indonesia Tbk (BBNI) Rp 7.77 trillion, PT Pupuk Indonesia Rp 4.63 trillion, PT Asabri Rp 3.53 trillion, PT Perkebunan Nusantara Rp 2 .95 trillion, and IFG Rp 2.9 trillion.

SOE Minister Erick Thohir said that with Telkom recording the highest SOE profit in the third quarter of 2021, this is an indication that the era of digitalization is unavoidable.
“If we look at the strong ones, it’s Telkom. Telkom is not a commodity, but the digitalization era is unavoidable. BNI, Mandiri, BRI, it’s clear. We’ll see that Mandiri’s profit is IDR 21 trillion, BRI IDR 19 trillion,” explained Erick Thohir in a meeting with a number of Chief Editors on Thursday (6/1).

Erick said he was very satisfied with the performance of Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) which posted a profit of Rp 2.95 trillion. In fact, from previous estimates, the BUMN is estimated to have lost Rp 1.4 trillion. “What is satisfying is actually PTPN. That’s an increase in profit of Rp. 2.95 trillion, even though our projection is to lose Rp. 1.4. This is the PTPN board of directors,” said Erick.
